Definition
Edit
A blunderbuss is a muzzle-loading firearm with a short, large caliber barrel, which is flared at the muzzle, and used with shot. The blunderbuss is an early form of shotgun adapted to military and defensive use. -Quote from Wikipedia
A blunderbuss fires a spread shot similar in pattern to the Viper's Nest, striking multiple enemies with a powerful blast. However, it is a fairly short-ranged weapon and takes longer to reload. They are favored in PvP as they do lots of damage and doesn't need to be aimed spot-on, which can be useful against "jumpers." The blunderbuss can do the most damage from 1 blow. This weapon also does the most damage out of all fire arms.

Blunderbuss Skills
Edit
The Blunderbuss uses the same Gun or Shooting skills as Pistol, Musket or Bayonet. It can help you achieve easy rep but at a price. A blunderbuss tends to ruin most loot drops. Some blunderbusses keep missing a target over and over again. To earn a higher percentage of hitting a target, go close to the enemy at the point where your scope cannot detect it. Aim for one of the shoulders and fire. If you do it correctly, you will not miss. If you still miss, you just be an unlucky pirate.

Please note that a blunderbuss is a poor way to gain experience. A more revised way would be using a Tri-barrel weapon, such as a Wicked Repeater .
NOTES:
The short blunderbusses are also refferred to as dragons. "Dragons" are how the term "Dragoon" came from. Our Navy Dragoons originally used blunderbusses, but POTCO made them use bayonets so they could use stab instead of shoot..
