Double Gold Weekend is a exceptionally rare event on Pirates Online. Every once in a while, the staff at Pirates of the Caribbean Online adds a special event to the game that grants all players double gold for a set amount of time. During this period, all gold looted by that pirate is doubled in value before being added to the players inventory. This includes mini games, fishing, cannon defense, and sailing. This event is similar to the Double Loot Weekend. During the final month of Pirates Online, there was a double gold event.
