Despite the climate, pirates around the Caribbean celebrate the Winter holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, etc.) since pirates came to the New World from all over the globe from many different cultures.
These celebrations are honored in the Caribbean during the months of December and January.
Instead of huddling up in warm winter clothes and building snowmen, pirates typically choose to build sandmen in the baking sun. These "Sandmen" were made into various characters like Jolly Roger, Jack Sparrow, and just plain, regular pirates. Similar effigies made from fruits can even be found in barrels.
During this time, the streets are decorated with beautiful wreaths and ribbons, and special holiday outfits are available from Peddlers. Musicians in the bars have an extra song or two inspired by the holidays. Look over their song list carefully to find these special hidden bonus tracks.
You can also use the noisemaker emote. Simply type in your chat box /noisemaker, then press enter or click on the head icon on the bottom right and you'll see noisemaker there! Your pirate will then pull out a rattler and make a rattling noise with it as they spin it around merrily!

Yuletide Manor[]
In the Legend of Pirates Online, this time of the year now brings even more to celebrate with the addition of the Yuletide Manor, the Frost Family and Moonstones.
Pirates can collect the special stones when they defeat enemies during the Winter Festival and exchange them for special holiday items with the Frosts in their manor home on Tortuga.
12 Days of Celebration[]
The TLOPO, the Development Team has also created a new traditional of giving away extra rewards, special items or introducing new features during the 12 Days of Celebration which gives the players a new 'gift' each day between the end of December and early January.
