Pigs are animals found in inhabited places throughout the Caribbean. These animals are not a threat to the pirate. Most often they are kept in fenced in pens near taverns or homes but some do just wander freely.

Like Chickens and other livestock, pigs were brought to the Caribbean from Europe. In fact, often ships full of them were unloaded on small islands where they could forage freely and breed. Returning vessels would pick up a few for their next voyage.
Jerked pork and whole pigs roasted over a barbacoa pit were common diet staples of islanders.
Game Note[]
- In Pirates Online, Roast Pork is used as a Tonic during events such as the Gathering of the Guilds Feast and Mardi Gras. A whole roast pig will be seen nearby over an open fire. Simply walk to it and press Shift to add (5) pieces of pork meat to your inventory.
- Pirates can also BECOME a pig in The Legend of Pirates Online for a short time using a Pig Potion.
