Developer Stream Recap: New Horizons!

Thanks so much for attending our ninth Developer Stream! It was really fun to interact with you all directly and show off some of our progress! For those of you who missed it, here’s a list of everything we previewed during the stream:
• New Water Effects: Improved textures and reflections for water have been added to the game! Additionally, there are now larger waves when sailing the High Seas.
• Bounty Hunters: After amassing a certain amount of loot, Bounty Hunters and powerful Navy Warships will chase your crew across the seas!
• Ship Customization: All features of Ship Customization, including custom hulls, rigging, emblems, and sail colors were shown off!

Today, The Legend of Pirates Online has reached 50,000 registered members. That’s a lot of pirates in the Caribbean! We genuinely hadn't anticipated the level of growth that the community has had since the beginning of Alpha. It is an honor to have such a large pool of supportive players and enthusiastic fans, whom The Crew is very excited to work along with! Since we opened our doors in 2015, this community has become a family, and that is something so precious that we could have never seen coming.

Ahoy there, mates!
I've been feelin' an uneasiness in me bones recently. Tomorrow be Friday the 13th, and ye all know what that means. Ghosts, ghouls, and all sorts o' atrocities that we pirates fear be creepin' around... and Jolly Roger be no exception.
The Crew sent some spies into Jolly's ranks and they found out that startin' tomorrow, January 13th, Jolly's gonna be usin' his Aztec Moonstone to invoke the Curse of the Muertos Moon. That means that all manner o' pirate will turn undead and attack each other. Crewmate be attackin' crewmate. A dreadful sight.

Storms A-Brewin' in the Caribbean

The return of piracy to the Caribbean was marked by one feature that wasn’t present in any version of the original game - Weather. Although many pirates dreamt of the addition of this wondrous natural phenomenon, it wasn’t until when Beta was released that sailors began to feel the taste of fresh water as it fell from the skies - as a surprise update no less!

Festivities and Fireworks Ring In the New Year!

Ahoy there, mates! Hope yer Christmas was quite savvy for ye and yer crew.
Let’s get right into it. I got some fantastic news for ye! To celebrate the New Year, The Crew be launchin’ fireworks off the coasts of Port Royal, Tortuga, and Padres del Fuego at the top of every hour!
Also, to express ye excitement, thar be a new holiday noisemaker emote ye can use. Simply type /noisemaker into the chat to join the fun!
